Ingredients
· 7-10 Garlic Cloves (leave cloves uncut to give an amazing hit of flavour)
· Fresh Basil Leaves
· Sun-dried Tomatoes
· Mozzarella Cheese Ball (cut into large slices)
· Black Garlic White Balsamic Vinegar
· Black Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
For the Dough:
· 1 cup Warm Water
· A Pinch of Caster Sugar
· 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry Yeast
· 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
· 3/4 teaspoon Salt
· 40ml Black Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Instructions
Preparing the Dough
1. Combine the water, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl. Set aside for the yeast to activate and foam (approximately 10 minutes).
2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and Black Garlic Olive Oil. Slowly incorporate the flour into the yeast mixture until it forms a dough.
3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
4. Shape the dough into a ball and coat it with Black Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
5. Place the dough in a deep bowl, cover with a tea towel, and set aside in a warm, dark place for about 30 minutes or until the dough doubles in size.
6. Once the dough has risen, cut it in half. On a floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll the dough into round pizza bases as thin as possible.
7. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (fan-forced). Spread an even layer of tomato paste over the pizza bases. Distribute the garlic cloves, basil leaves, sun-dried tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese chunks evenly over the bases. Drizzle black garlic white balsamic vinegar over the pizza. Place the assembled pizzas in the preheated oven.
8. Bake until the cheese is melted and golden brown and the pizza bases are firm and beginning to crisp (approximately 12-15 minutes). Once cooked, drizzle on more black garlic white balsamic vinegar for an extra burst of flavour.
